Chapel programs are led by Rev. Monique McBride, Pastor of Schools and Families, and members of the CCS community.
CCS Chapels are weekly opportunities for the CCS community to worship and learn together and provide leadership opportunities for children in worship. CCS students of all ages regularly lead Chapel in prayers, songs, and presentations of the message. Please see the Parent Portal for a link to this year's schedule.
Birthday Recognition
Each child's birthday is recognized during Chapel the week of their birthday. Summer birthdays are recognized at the end of the year. Students may present a commemorative book to the school in honor of their birthdays or on honor of other people. Please click here if you wish to purchase a book for the Learning Commons for this purpose.
Grade Level Chapel Performances
Each year, Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students lead Chapel with a creative presentation of their classroom and Bible knowledge. These special Chapels give students an opportunity to lead their peers, teachers, and families in worship, showcase their Bible and musical knowledge, and promote confidence in students by giving them public speaking opportunities and leadership roles.
The schedule and theme for Grade Level Chapels is as follows:
- Fourth Grade - Christmas
- Second Grade - People of the Bible
- First Grade – Veggie Tales
- Kindergarten - Fruits of the Spirit
- Third Grade – Around the World
- Fifth Grade - A Farewell Chapel
