“You are a MASTERPIECE in the making!” - Desmond Tutu
At Christ Church School, every child is an artist! PK4 through fifth grade students explore the elements of art, art history, and art as a means of mental health and self-expression. Students meet weekly in our Art Studio for painting, clay work, drawing, and a variety of other mediums. Art lessons are often tied to in-class learning to further explore their core subjects and complement the learning experience.
In the Art Studio, each month is an exploration of the elements of art which include color, line, value, texture, shape, form, and space. As students progress through our program, art projects advance to complement their development and gross motor skills.
Artwork completed by PK4 through 5th grade students was featured at our Christmas Art Show. Click the video to see more!
