We are thrilled to announce the launch of the first-ever Christ Church School Track & Field Team this winter! The response from our parent survey was incredibly positive, and student interest has been overwhelming. We can’t wait to get this exciting new program underway.
Team Structure
Track & Field is an individual sport, so there are no tryouts or cuts—every interested student is welcome to participate. We encourage consistent attendance to help each athlete be fully prepared for our meets. Practices will include warm-ups and cool-downs, cardio conditioning, and event-specific training.
We are excited to welcome Coaches Jaime Beach and Alexandra LaCasse to lead our athletes. Miss LaCasse will pick up students at dismissal and bring them to the gym for a quick snack and review of the day’s practice plan.
Practice Schedule
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Time: 3:15–4:45 PM
Pickup Location: CCS Field
Special Note for Volleyball Players: Girls currently on the volleyball team may leave volleyball practice at 4:15 on Mondays and Tuesdays to join Track & Field until 4:45.
Meet & Practice Dates
First Practice: Tuesday, January 6
Special Practice: Saturday, January 10 at Cardinal Gibbons Track (9:00–11:00 AM)
Meet Dates: January 17, 24, 31 and February 7
Meet Location: Calvary Christian of Fort Lauderdale
Participating Schools: Parkridge, Highlands, Parkway, and Calvary Christian Hollywood
Season Ends: February 7
Registration & Requirements
Please complete the attached form and submit the $200 online payment.
Indicate your child’s shirt size—athletes will keep their team shirt.
All athletes must maintain at least a 70 average in all subjects.
Behavioral expectations apply; green or pink slips may result in consequences.
A current school sports physical is required before January 6.
Once the online form is submitted, you will receive the Athletic Handbook to complete.
